Each floor has a porch that is almost as wide as the house. The porches are twelve feet deep - much deeper than most other porches on other houses. That gives plenty of room for people to gather on the porch. Each of the porches have rocking chairs and a bench. The porch of the kitchen floor has a table for dining on the porch.
The top floor has steps that lead to a hatch to the roof. Almost the entire roof is a large sunning and observation deck. You can get a good view of the ocean, look at the stars, or lay in the Sun in privacy.
Ships pass closely to the shore
Rocking chairs on the porch of the top floor. Each of the three porches has two to four rocking chairs.
View from the deck on the roof - the horizon is about 8 miles away. You can see the curvature of the Earth.
View from the roof - Jekyll Island is across the sound. The nearest part of Jekyll is 1.5 miles away and the fartherest part of Jekyll you can see is 4.5 miles away.
The side of Jekyll Island (4.5 miles away) is near the center of this photograph. To the left you can see Cumberland Island in the distance, 11 miles away. The bottom of Cumberland Island is over the horizon. A navigation buoy is on the left.
